Microsoft Edge v15

  • Microsoft Edge is the default browser for Windows 10. However, if you do not have Microsoft Edge, you can download it by going to the website and following the prompts to download it.
  • If your Microsoft Edge isn’t up to date, this can be accomplished by updating Windows. To do this, click on the “Start” button on the lower left hand side of your screen.
In the Start menu, navigate to Settings, which should be a small gear icon
From there, scroll to the bottom of this menu and click  “Updates and Security.”
Then click “Windows Update” to check for updates.  Click to update, if available, for the latest version of Microsoft Edge.

Safari v11

  • The Safari browser means you are using an Apple product running on iOS. Most Apple devices already come with Safari, but in the case that you don't have Safari on your computer, reinstalling MacOS will return Safari to your computer.
  • To download MacOS, go to iTunes and download MacOS Mojave, following the installation sequence.
  • To update Safari, update MacOS which will appear as a software update prompt. Updating MacOS will automatically update your Safari browser.

Chrome v56

  • The minimum required version for Journeyfront is Chrome v56.
  • To update Chrome, click on the three vertical dots on the top right corner, below the "X" close page button.  Scan the pop up box, if it says “Update Google Chrome” your Chrome is not up to date. Clicking this will update the OS. If this prompt is not there, your Chrome is up to date.
  • If you do not have the latest version, and cannot update a more recent version of Chrome, your operating system most likely doesn’t support the new version of Chrome and needs to be updated. Using the most up to date operating system for your respective provider will give you Chrome v74.
  • If you do not have the browser, it can be downloaded on the Google Chrome website (https://www.google.com/chrome/). Downloading it for the first time will automatically download the most current version available. The most current version available depends upon your operating system.

Firefox v52

  • To use Firefox, you will need to have at least version 52.
  • If you do not have Firefox, you can download it from the website by clicking download and following the installation prompts. This will get you the most up to date version of the program.
  • If your program is out of date and needs to be updated, this can be accomplished by clicking the menu button (three horizontal lines stacked vertically) and selecting “About Firefox.” The “About Firefox” window will open and begin automatically checking for and downloading updates. Once the downloads are complete, click the “Restart to update Firefox” prompt, and wait for the program to restart. After this, the program will be fully updated.

Internet Explorer v10

  • Most new computers no longer utilize Internet Explorer. However, if you have Internet Explorer v11 or v10, you can use Journeyfront. If you have any earlier versions, updating windows or your operating system will most likely make Internet Explorer incompatible with your device. It is most likely best for you to download the latest version of a different web browser. See the above options for a step by step guide on how to do that.
