Learn to use this dashboard to analyze and oversee candidate language ability (test scores) across your whole organization
Using Dashboards
1. Sign in at https://app.journeyfront.com/login
2. Click the “Dashboard" tab in the top navigation bar
3. Click the name of the current dashboard and then select "Language Assessment" from the menu
4. The first tab in this dashboard is the ‘Results Analysis’. If not selected by default, click the ‘Results Analysis’ tab
Results Analysis
This sheet has basic distributions of language scores for analysis
5. Use the controls at the top of the dashboard to narrow your search. Clicking ‘Controls’ or the dropdown arrow will open (and close) the control panel
Filter Option Descriptions:
a. Application Date - Define the dates for candidates you would like to see
b. Test Timestamp - Define the dates for assessments you would like to see
c. Job Profile - Job types to be included
d. Job Req - Select specific job requisitions to be included
e. Step - The step in which the assessment was completed
f. Activity - The name of the activity containing the assessment
g. Test Name - The name of the specific test you would like to see results for
h. Candidate Current Step - Where the candidate is currently at in the hiring process, regardless of where they were in the process when they completed the assessment
i. Candidate Status - The candidates' status, regardless of what their status was when they were assessed
j. Candidate Name - The candidate’s first and last name
k. CEFR - The score that the candidate received on their assessment, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
l. Source Type - The type of origin or channel through which the candidate began applying to the job (eg. Social media, Job Board)
m. Source - The specific origin or channel through which the candidate learned about and applied for the job (eg. Facebook, Referral)
6. Click controls or on the dropdown arrow to close the control panel
7. The first set of visuals on this page are various KPIs and distributions
a. ‘Language Tests Conducted’ is the total number of tests that have been taken by applicants
b. If your company uses more than one of our vendors for Language assessments, ‘Tests Conducted by Vendor’ will show how many tests have been conducted by each vendor
c. ‘Median Vendor Score’ is the median score from all tests. This is a 1-10 score given by our vendors to measure language attainment
d. ‘Average Vendor score, by Vendor’ shows the average vendor score. If more than one vendor is used, individual bars will represent each vendor
e. The ‘CEFR Score Distribution’ bar chart shows how many tests were assigned to each CEFR score. If present, different vendors will appear as different colors
f. The ‘CEFR Score Distribution’ pie chart shows what percentage of tests were assigned to each CEFR score. Hovering on this visual will show more information
8. Scrolling down will show the visual ‘CEFR Score vs Vendor Score’ This is a distribution of all results based on the ‘Vendor Score’ (1-10 score from Hallo or Immersion). Colors represent CEFR proficiency scores. Hovering the mouse over the visual will show arrows used to drill up or down. Drilling up and down will change the sizes of the score buckets (x-axis). If more than one vendor is used, they will appear as small multiples for comparison.
9. Scrolling down will reveal the next visual in this tab, the ‘Candidate Status Distribution by CEFR’
a. The Y-axis represents CEFR scores, and the X-axis is the percentage of candidates receiving that score in one of their language tests.
b. Color represents the candidates’ status. This can help to show if candidates with higher proficiency scores are being hired more often.
10. Scrolling down will reveal four more visuals. These last four visuals show distributions of CEFR scores for Jobs and Locations
a. The top 2 visuals show CEFR scores by Job.
b. The bottom 2 visuals show CEFR scores by Location.
c. The 2 visuals on the left show the Count and the 2 on the left show Percentages.
d. Job is drillable between Job Profile and Job Req
e. Location is drillable between country, state, city, zip
Language Results
This tab shows all candidate language assessment results
1. Scroll to the top, and click ‘Language Results’ to open this tab
2. Click on the word ‘Controls’ or on the drop-down arrow to the right to open (and close) the control panel
a. This tab will have all the same controls as the first tab
3. Scroll down to view the data table on this page, which displays the results of the selected controls from above
a. The titles and columns of this table will change dynamically based on which vendors your company uses. Options include:
i. Emmersion Language Assessment Results
ii. Hallo Language Assessment Results
iii. Candidate Language Assessment Results
b. The columns below will always be displayed
i. Last Name - Candidate’s first name
ii. First Name - Candidate’s last name
iii. Application Date - The date that the candidate began their application
iv. Email - Candidate’s email address
v. Current Step - Where the candidate currently is in the hiring process OR where they were when they were hired/rejected
vi. Assigned User - User assigned to this candidate
vii. Candidate Status - Candidate’s current status
viii. Step - the step that the test took place in
ix. Activity - the activity that the test took place in
x. Timestamp - when the test occurred
xi. Test Name - the name of the vendor’s test used
xii. CEFR - The score that the candidate received on their assessment, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
c. If Emmersion is used as a vendor, the following will also be displayed:
i. Emmersion Score
ii. Placement
iii. IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
iv. TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
v. TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication)
vi. ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages)
d. If Hallo is used as a vendor, the following will also be displayed:
i. Hallo Score
ii. Coherence
iii. Vocabulary
iv. Grammar
v. Fluency
vi. Pronunciation
vii. Organization
e. If both vendors are used a ‘Vendor’ column indicating the vendor that performed the assessment will show
f. If a candidate takes an assessment more than once, all of their test results will appear.
